Ihr Team der Orthopädie Unfallchirurgie Chiemgau Berchtesgadener Land
Dr. Lindner was born in Munich in 1962. Since, however, his family is from the Chiemgau region, he has always felt at home in this part of the country.
After studying human medicine at Munich University from 1981 to 1988 and writing his doctoral thesis, he received comprehensive orthopaedic training in the field of accident surgery at the department of accident surgery at the St.-Barbara Hospital in Schwandorf under the auspices of Dr. Guggenmoos.
From 1991 onwards, he started working under one of the most renowned orthopaedists in Germany, Prof. Heinz Wagner, who is well known for developing the cup hip implant. He graduated as a medical specialist under Prof. Dr. Günther Zeiler, Wagner’s successor.
It was at an early stage of his career that he started concentrating on foot surgery in particular. Being a member of the German Association of Foot Surgery, he is well acquainted in the field. He has also specialized in arthroscopic surgery of the greater joints, the method of endoprothetics, and in so-called spherical osteotomy, a procedure which brought his famous teacher world-wide recognition.
Apart from specializing in pain therapy, Lindner has been studying the juxta-articular infiltration techniques of traditional Chinese medicine. Thus, he complemented his professional training in Germany with several stays at Peking University which has been acknowledged by the WHO as the reference centre for traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, being a member of the German association of the Acupuncture Research Group (Forschungsgruppe Akupunktur), he constantly keeps expanding his knowledge in this field. In 2008, he was examined by the German medical association of acupuncture and rewarded with the title of specialist.
Lindner has been a member of our team of orthopaedists since 1998. As a successor to Dr. Christoph Schmidt, he used to work in our clinic on the Franziskanerplatz Square, Berchtesgaden, before he chose to move to the clinic at the Artenreitring 1c in Schönau on Lake Königssee. Even though the clinic was located in a rather remote corner of Bavaria, it was well-renowned throughout the region. Moreover, Lindner has always been conducting outpatient surgeries at Berchtesgaden and has announced to add to his service a greater number of inpatient interventions in the near future. In 2017 the practice moved into the extended practice areas of the County Hospital Berchtesgaden Berchtesgaden.
